The triathlon scene is alive and well, with thousands of athletes set to toe the line for both Ironman and Challenge events in 2022. The Ironman World Championships will take place on October 18 that year in Hawaii, while Challenge Roth provides a more firm and fast test on July 15. With the season fast approaching, we look at eight of the best triathlon bikes you could use this year.

You’d be hard pressed to find a triathlete that doesn’t want to spend as little money as possible on their triathlon bikes without compromising performance. That makes you a lot like me. But, just how do you get the best of both worlds? How can you own a top tier yet budget-friendly bike? Sometimes the trick is to go big on the bike and small on the components — which kind of sounds counterintuitive if you think about it. If you know anything about bike nuts (I mean this in the nicest way), I’m sure you know that upgrading your components can be as satisfying as stretching your legs.  I’ve done extensive research for this article, looking at eight of some of the most well-received triathlon bikes for 2023, and have meticulously compiled my list from here.
